From here on out, Notre Dame being evaluated on winning out and looking good doing so; first up on the list is Boston College.

Let's kick off our preview of this matchup with an overview look at the Boston College Eagles:
Overall Record: 23-22
Record at Boston College: 8-13
Bill O'Brien took over the Boston College program to start the 2024 season where he had a promising first season at Chestnut Hill. They finished the season 7-5 and played Nebraska in the Pinstripe Bowl but unfortunately lost 20-15. In the regular season, O'Brien picked up some good wins over Michigan State at home, Syracuse and Pitt. Their losses were relatively close and the team battled throughout the 60-minute affair. The expectation heading into 2025 was around improvement and turning some of those one possession losses into wins. So far, that hasn't been the case for the Eagles in 2025.
O'Brien is currently sitting at 1-7 this season and have already been eliminated from post-season play and still have Notre Dame, SMU, Georgia Tech and Syracuse remaining on their schedule. Since the start of October, all of their losses have been by double digits, and unless things turnaround in November, I could see that trend continuing throughout the rest of the regular season.
