Today, Notre Dame’s wide receiver’s coach Mike Brown along with a handful of offensive and defensive players talked through their season-long improvements and preparing for the NC State Wolfpack. The Irish are back in the Top 20, ranked No. 16 in the country and are looking to extend their win streak to four in a row. NC State’s high powered offense will give the Notre Dame defense a challenge they haven’t faced in a few weeks while the Fighting Irish offense will look to regain momentum after an up and down performance against Boise State.

Here are some of the main comments from today's post-practice press conference:
"He's a really, really sharp young man," Brown said about quarterback CJ Carr. "The moment hasn't been to big for him. You think about his first start, going in there against Miami, he never got rattled. Sure, he made a mistake here or there, but he stays poised. He's really smart, sees the game really well and obviously he's really talented. You put those things together and he has a chance to be a really, really good football player."
"When I came here, I didn't want to let time take over me," Gray explained. "I didn't want to sit back and watch and wait my turn. I said to go out there and attack and keep attacking; keep trying to get out there on the field and keep working as hard as you can. By the end of the time, before you know it, you'll be a senior. You don't want to look back and wish you would have done something different. I told them to go out there and attack your freshman year."
"Our confidence has always been high," Love stated. "We haven't lost confidence in ourselves; we know what kind of team we are and we know that we're a great team. We have an explosive offense, great defense and a great special teams unit as well. We focus week by week and take it like we're 0-0 every week and try to be 1-0 by the end of the week. Our confidence is really, really high. As we go through this season, we're going to keep believing in ourselves, staying together and making sure we're doing the right things on and off the field so we can stay that way. We have all the confidence in the world, all the talent in the world and the best coaches in college. We're just going to go out there and play our game."
"I'd say it's confidence in the defense," Traore explained. "Week by week, I feel like everyone on the defense has been progressing in the right direction. We're just focused on playing as a team, playing fast and playing violent."
