The Ohio State Buckeyes are major favorites against the Wisconsin Badgers, and here are their three keys to the game.

The Ohio State Buckeyes will kick off the game as four-score favorites on Saturday afternoon in Madison, Wisconsin.

However, Friday night in college football was a major PSA to all of college football to not overlook any opponent, no matter the record. It would take a miracle, and then some, for Wisconsin to knock off the Buckeyes on Saturday because this team is rolling.

The Buckeyes defense is suffocating their opponents and through six games, they have only given up more than 10 points in one contest this season.

On offense, they are slowing the tempo but executing at the highest level. While Ohio State continues to roll, here are the keys to the game for head coach Ryan Day and his squad on Saturday.

    No Turnovers on Offense

The recipe for an upset starts and ends with the underdog creating more possessions.

Ohio State's style of play on offense further emphasizes the fact that they simply cannot turn the football over today, as their snail-like pace shortens the game and puts execution at a premium. There is no reason to believe that they will turn the ball over, but they cannot start today.

No turnovers on Saturday would guarantee a victory and likely lead to the Buckeyes covering the massive spread.

    Stop the Run

If there was one aspect that the Buckeyes' defense has struggled with this year it is stopping the run. At times throughout the season, opponents have multiple big runs that have either extended drives or put the opponent in Ohio State territory.

"Long runs" is a relative statement, and last week the defense was able to limit the Illinois Fighting Illini's efforts on Saturday. Removing sacks and a punter catching the snap with his knee on the ground, Ohio State allowed 81 rushing yards on 20 carries. This is a solid clip, but the Buckeyes gave up a 23-yard gash in the contest, which makes stopping the run a focal point in week eight.

This may be a very nit-picky key, but improving against the run is important for Ohio State, especially as they continue their season-long preparation for Michigan at the end of the year.

    Get Jeremiah Smith Going Early

Ohio State could greatly benefit from getting star wide receiver Jeremiah Smith going right away. Too many times this season, the offense has failed to get Smith involved in the game plan throughout the opening drives.

The highly-touted receiver has shown every week that when he touches the football, no one can stop him. Seeing the ball in No. 4's hands early will put any thoughts of an upset to bed and will get the best player in America going into the second half of the year.
