Ohio State Buckeyes quarterback Julian Sayin was special against Wisconsin and is the best at his position in the country.

Julian Sayin was surgical on Saturday afternoon against the Wisconsin Badgers. The redshirt freshman moved to 7-0 in his college career as the Ohio State Buckeyes' starter and is showing signs that he has everything it takes to lead this team as far as it wants to go.

On Saturday, Sayin finished 36 of 42 for 394 yards and four touchdown passes. He was incredibly accurate all day long. From the first drive to the last, he was dialed in for the Buckeyes.

Julian Sayin's Grade vs. Wisconsin: A+

There are literally no notes needed for Sayin's performance. He made the right decisions, pushed the ball down the field, took calculated risks, and gave his superstar receivers a chance to make plays. They thanked him time and time again.

There were two details that stood out from Sayin's game Saturday. The first is the inherent trust that he has built up with the coaching staff and the team.

On the very first drive of the game, Ohio State got the ball backed up after a really nice punt and they started the drive on their own 11-yard line.

Instead of handing the ball off and playing conservatively, the Buckeyes put all of their trust in the young quarterback. He opened the game with nine straight competitions for over 80 yards, and he capped it with a highlight 33-yard touchdown to Carnell Tate.

The other element of Sayin's game that continues to be so impressive is that he simply does not force the ball down the field. He isn't quick to get to the check down, but he will not put the football in danger, and that is rare for a young player.

This game also showed that Sayin has found the balance of pushing the ball downfield to give his guys a chance and taking small victories. It was a very impressive showing from Sayin in the big win.

The next challenge for Sayin and this offense is to go through another bye week and stay locked in with a schedule that is not all that challenging the rest of the season. The Buckeyes will likely be two-to-three-score favorites in every game the rest of the year.

After Ohio State gets through this bye week, Penn State will be waiting on the other side. In August, everyone circled this game as a potential top-five matchup (or even a No. 1 vs. No. 2), but that is far from what it will be.

Through eight weeks, Sayin has shown that he can be the reason that Ohio State wins football games. Saturday was the first time the Buckeyes allowed him to show his full ability, and he passed the test with flying colors.

Julian Sayin is emphatically QB1 for the top 1 team in the country.
