    Series:

The Cowgirls lead the series, all-time, against Prairie View A&M, 4 wins to 0 losses, with all games occurring in Stillwater. The most recent meeting was in 2018, where the Cowgirls beat the Lady Panthers 70-50. The Cowgirls are currently on a four-game win streak to start the season and will look to make it five in a row on Tuesday morning, both on the season and all time against the Lady Panthers.

Oklahoma State's women's basketball team will play its fifth contest of the year. Tuesday’s contest is the last game of a five-game home stretch to open the campaign. This contest is being dubbed as Oklahoma State’s “Class at the Court" game. “Class at the Court” is an annual event hosted by Oklahoma State University's women's basketball team, where local schools bring children to a game for a field trip. This special event, also known as the "field trip game," provides an opportunity for students to attend a college basketball game during the school day.

In their last matchup, the Cowgirls handled the Oral Roberts Golden Eagles, 112-62. That game saw Cowgirl senior forward, Achol Akot, drop 23 points, a game high. Sunday’s game marked Akot’s first double-double as a Cowgirl, adding the 23points, her career high, and adding 10 rebounds to go with it. Akot was one of seven Cowgirls to finish in double figures. Sophomore guard, Jaydn Wooten, finished with 14 points and nine assists, her career high. Oklahoma State’s Micah Gray finished with 15 points, while Amari Whiting added 13. The Cowgirls moved from ranked 22nd to 20th in the polls following their 4-0 start to the year.

The Cowgirls opponent, the Prairie View A&M Lady Panthers are 0-2 to start the season and play their third consecutive road game in Stillwater, on Tuesday morning. Their losses have come at the hands of UTEP and Tulsa. The Lady Panthers posted a 10-19 record in the 2024-2025 campaign, where they won only two of their fifteen road games. Lady Panthers head coach, Tai Dillard, is in her first year as the team’s head coach. Dillard most recently served as the Associate Head Coach for the University of Houston Women’s Basketball Team.

Cowgirl Player to watch in game five:

    Senior Forward – Achol Akot:

Akot finished Sunday’s game with 23 points, going 11-for-15 from the field, for an impressive 73% shooting percentage. She battled the boards for 10 rebounds, recording her first double-double as a Cowgirl. I believe Akot adds to her past performance and is, again, dominant on the glass and could see her post her second straight double-double.
