As things stand right now, it seems like Penn State has the best job open on the college football market.

However, after Florida decided to cut ties with Billy Napier on Sunday, there's an argument to be made that Florida might be a better fit.

Considering NIL and everything nowadays, there's a lot more that has to be discussed than just the history of the programs.

On paper, Penn State is arguably one of the greatest programs ever, but Florida has found more success in the past few decades.

If I had to say, I still believe that Penn State is a much better job than Florida, but we also have to factor in weather, recruit talent, and other scenarios here.

Ultimately, it’ll also come down to how much money both programs are willing to pay for a new head coach.

Despite that, some believe that Florida firing Napier might be an issue, including Sydney Ciano of FanSided, who thinks it could have an impact on Penn State hiring who it wants to.

“It means they don't have the most attractive program for head coach candidates anymore, and that's a major problem. Penn State not only wants, but needs to hit a home run with its next hire. The whole point of firing Franklin is hir to someone ing someone better than him, someone who can win the big games and make the Nittany Lions are team to fear playing.

“Getting the right guy for the job becomes much harder the more vacancies pop up. Even if Penn State fired Franklin knowing who it wanted up next for the job, it's not a guarantee that the candidate ends up in Happy Valley,” she wrote.

Making such a big decision to move on from Franklin, I have a feeling that Penn State already knows who its next head coach will be.

I do believe that PSU will also interview many of the top head coaches on the market, but it feels almost safe to say that Penn State has its guy in mind and is going from there.

Whether that ends up eating the case will be seen, but Florida firing Napier certainly brings some challenges, even if it's for a candidate or two.
