The undefeated Texas A&M Aggies hold onto No. 3 as poll shakeups intensify, showcasing Texas' football dominance and solidifying College Station's playoff destiny.
The Texas A&M Aggies stayed locked in at No. 3 in the newest Associated Press Top 25 poll, marking the sixth straight week they've held their ground among the nation's elite.
Ohio State and Indiana remain No. 1 and No. 2, but the Aggies continue to sit firmly in the driver's seat for a College Football Playoff berth with an undefeated record and momentum surging into rivalry week.
Across the country, the poll saw significant movement and a whole lot of validation for programs inside the Lone Star State. Five Texas teams are ranked for the second consecutive week, something the state hasn’t accomplished back-to-back since 2016. And with A&M leading the charge, the message is clear: Texas football runs through College Station.
Texas A&M earned one first-place vote and remains comfortably positioned at No. 3, trailing only undefeated giants Ohio State and Indiana. Meanwhile, Oregon made a statement by jumping into the top five after handling No. 16 USC.
Ole Miss, Texas Tech, Oklahoma, and others shuffled behind A&M, but the Aggies' resume keeps looking stronger as the season heads toward its dramatic finish.
Georgia held firm at No. 4, and Miami surged to No. 13 after a dominant road win. The ACC, for just the second time this season, placed five teams in the poll—but Texas A&M still sits as the SEC's premier CFP contender outside of Georgia.
With A&M, Texas, Texas Tech, North Texas, and SMU all ranked, the Lone Star State continues to flex its depth across conferences. But none shine brighter right now than the undefeated Aggies.
As showdown week approaches and the playoff picture crystallizes, Texas A&M controls its destiny—and the polls continue to reflect that.
