Greenwood's dual-threat QB, Kane Archer, continues to dominate Arkansas football, heading to UCF early with an eye on an immediate impact.

3-star quarterback Kane Archer has taken the Arkansas High School Football scene by storm, winning the Gatorade Player of the Year in his junior season, and elevating his play even further this year.

Archer committed to UCF this past April, largely due to the respect that he has for Coach Scott Frost and Quarterback coach McKenzie Milton. In an interview with the 4th-and-5 Podcast, he confirmed his current plan of enrolling early at UCF.

Since taking over the role as Greenwood starting quarterback as a freshman, Archer has done nothing but win. Archer led the Bulldogs to two consecutive undefeated seasons, resulting in back-to-back state championships.

He continued to impress in a 42-3 win Thursday against Van Buren, moving to 8-0 on the season, and extending the Bulldogs' win streak to 34 in a row.

Archer completed over 74% of his passes, throwing for 314 yards and three touchdowns. He added an additional 116 yards and tacked on two more touchdowns with his legs.

On Archer's play of the night, he took the snap in the shotgun from his own 47-yard line, stepped up in the pocket, and took off.

He cut back to the left sideline on a dime, juking out a handful of Van Buren defenders before capping off a 53-yard score.

This remarkable performance catapulted Archer to 2,135 passing yards and a whopping 37 total touchdowns through eight games. Archer's dual-threat ability makes him an appealing target for a Knights football program that has frequently started mobile quarterbacks over the past few seasons.

Archer has his team poised for another state championship run, and with the insecurity surrounding UCF's QB room going forward, he will definitely have a chance to make an immediate impact next year as a freshman.

One Twitter/X user, @evanlando_ posted, "Year 4 Tayven Jackson vs True Freshman Kane Archer QB competition is going to feed families." He, along with many other UCF fans are excited and hopeful to see what Archer can do next year.
