As we covered extensively here, the University of Connecticut football team moved to 7-3 on Saturday night with a thrilling come from behind win against Duke. The 37-34 win was punctuated by a 14-point fourth quarter and a late fumble recovery.
Quarterback Joe Fagnano was excellent, going 27-of-39 for 311 yards and three touchdowns, and after the game, head coach Jim Mora received some fun praise on social media from two Connecticut personalities: Men's basketball coach Dan Hurley and former NFL quarterback Dan Orlovsky.
Both took to "X" to call Mora "Him Mora," a play on a phrase in which someone special is referred to as "him."
The son of former NFL head coach Jim Mora, the younger Mora has had an extensive coaching career across both the pro and college levels.
He spent parts of three seasons as the head coach of the Atlanta Falcons, going 26-22 in that time with quarterback Michael Vick at the helm. He helped Atlanta get to the playoffs in the 2004 season and Vick finished second in the MVP voting, running for 902 yards and passing for 2,313.
He then also spent one season as the head coach of the Seattle Seahawks, going 5-11.
Also in the NFL, he had extensive coaching experience with the San Francisco 49ers, serving as a defensive coach from 1997-03.

After leaving the Seahawks, he resurfaced again in the college game, becoming a head coach with the UCLA Bruins from 2012-17. With the Bruins, he was 46-30. He had the Bruins ranked at the end of two seasons and went to four bowl games, including winning the Sun and Alamo Bowls.
He became the head coach at Connecticut in 2022 and has already been to two bowl games, with a third bowl game coming this year.
Several high-profile jobs are open around college football, including Penn State, Auburn, LSU, Florida, Arkansas and Virginia Tech. It's certainly possible that Mora is looked at for those jobs, but he's certainly built something worth sticking around for in Storrs.
The Huskies have two games left in the regular season, and they'll play their final home game of the year on Saturday (Nov. 15) against Air Force. After that, the regular season will end on Nov. 22 at Florida Atlantic.
They will learn their bowl game fate once the regular season has concluded.
