The 1-5 New Orleans Saints head to Soldier Field to take on the 3-2 Chicago Bears on Sunday, as Ben Johnson and company return from a two-game road stretch.
The Bears performed well while they were away, going 2-0, with wins over the Las Vegas Raiders and Washington Commanders.
D'Andre Swift appeared on the injury report on Thursday with a groin injury, which was a surprise. According to the Chicago Tribune's Brad Biggs, Swift was not injured in practice and head coach Ben Johnson was hopeful that the running back would play on Sunday.
Swift had a monster game in the 25-24 win over Washington, finishing with 108 rushing yards, 67 receiving yards and one touchdown.
Other players who appeared on Thursday's report included defensive lineman Grady Jarrett (knee), kicker Cairo Santos (right thigh), linebacker Noah Sewell (concussion), receiver DJ Moore (hip/groin), linebacker Amen Ogbongbemiga (knee), defensive lineman Austin Booker (knee), running back Travis Homer (calf) and offensive lineman Jonah Jackson (ankle).
Santos and Sewell are officially out, while Jarrett, Swift, Booker, Homer and Ogbongbemiga are questionable. Jackson and Moore didn't carry injury designations heading into Sunday, which is a great sign.
Jarrett has played in three games for the Bears this season, last appearing in the 31-14 win over the Dallas Cowboys. He has recorded four total tackles thus far.
Sewell has played in every game this season but left the Commanders' game with a concussion. He has been solid, accounting for 32 total tackles and two tackles for loss.
The injury to Cairo Santos has been a topic of discussion. Santos was unable to play on Monday Night Football due to a quad injury, allowing Jake Moody to be elevated from the practice squad in his place.
Moody hit the 38-yard game-winner and finished the night going 4-of-5 on field goals and 1-of-1 on extra points. Despite Moody's recent success, head coach Ben Johnson stated that Santos would remain as the team's kicker when healthy.
So, it looks like Moody will be handling kicking duties for another week at least.
Moore being on the report with an injury designation is great for quarterback Caleb Williams. However, in Moore's absence, second-year receiver Rome Odunze has stepped in. Odunze currently leads the team with 328 receiving yards and five touchdowns.
Moore is second on the team with 215 receiving yards and one touchdown.
The Bears look to extend their winning streak to four games against the Saints. Kickoff from Soldier Field is at noon CT on Fox.
