Ben Johnson reveals his biggest source of pride: a hard-fought win where the Bears weathered crucial storms and refused to buckle under pressure.

The Chicago Bears didn't have the best of starts to the season under first-year head coach Ben Johnson, going 0-2 in their first two games.

However, the team is now sitting at 4-2 and on a four-game winning streak after taking down the New Orleans Saints 26-14 on Sunday.

Chicago got out to a 20-0 lead in the first half, but things slowed down soon thereafter. The Bears only scored six more points but managed to hold New Orleans scoreless. At Monday's presser Johnson said that his team's ability to bend and not break when things were tough.

"I think the thing I'm most proud about is not only did we get off to a good start in terms of the 20-0 lead, but we weathered the storm in between," Johnson said. "Because it wasn't our best middle eight of the game, if you wanna call it that. So, you go from 20-0, to all of the sudden you're looking up after halftime and it's 20-14. I just think back to that first week of the season against Minnesota, and how we didn't handle that very well. You fast forward a few weeks later here, and I just thought as a team we responded a lot better."

Fans saw the opposite happen in the season opener against the Minnesota Vikings. Chicago got out to a 17-6 lead in the third quarter, but Minnesota battled back and won 27-24. The Bears scored a touchdown with 2:02 left, but it wasn't enough.

The team definitely battled adversity in the 25-24 win over the Washington Commanders on Monday Night Football. After leading 13-0 in the second quarter, the Bears found themselves down 24-16 at the beginning of the fourth.

However, Chicago responded with a 55-yard touchdown from running back D'Andre Swift to make it 24-22, before forcing a fumble, which set up the game-winning field goal for kicker Jake Moody.

Being able to keep your wits about you in those kinds of moments will do any team a lot of good as the season goes on. It's a part of the reason why the Bears now have a winning record and are right in the middle of the race for the lead in the NFC North.

Chicago takes on the Baltimore Ravens next at M&T Bank Stadium on Sunday. The Ravens have been without quarterback Lamar Jackson since he suffered a hamstring injury in Week 4.

However, he is expected to return in Week 8.

Kickoff is at noon CT on CBS.
