Key defensive back Kyler Gordon and left tackle Braxton Jones land on injured reserve, sidelining them for at least four games.

The Chicago Bears made some moves one day after the release of Friday's injury report.

The Bears initially ruled out tight end Cole Kmet (back), running back Roschon Johnson (back), left tackle Braxton Jones (knee), cornerback Kyler Gordon (groin/calf) and cornerback Tyrique Stevenson (shoulder).

ESPN's Adam Schefter reported Saturday that Chicago decided to move both Gordon and Jones to the injured reserve before Sunday's game against the Baltimore Ravens. This means that both Gordon and Jones will miss at least the next four games for the Bears.

This stint on the IR for Gordon comes at a tough time for him, since he initially missed the first four games of the season with a hamstring injury. He played in the last two games for Chicago, but then suffered a groin injury and will miss more time.

In the two games he's played in, Gordon has accounted for six total tackles, one tackle for loss and one fumble recovery.

Jones began the year as the starter at left tackle for the Bears. However, he was benched in favor of 2024 undrafted free agent Theo Benedet. Benedet played college football in Canada for the University of British Columbia. He wasn't selected in the draft, but Chicago signed him shortly after.

Benedet has played in six games with three starts so far this year.

The Ravens are going to be missing a key player for Sunday, with quarterback Lamar Jackson ruled out by Schefter, even though he was making good progress in his return from a hamstring injury. Jackson hasn't played since Week 4 because of the injury, and Tyler Huntley will start in his place.

Jackson was limited in the Wednesday and Thursday practices but was upgraded to a full participant on Friday. He was questionable heading into the Bears game.

Baltimore did get good news on the other names on its injury report, with cornerback Chidobe Awuzie, receiver DeAndre Hopkins, safety Kyle Hamilton, offensive tackle Ronnie Stanley, fullback Patrick Ricard, receiver Zay Flowers, linebacker Roquan Smith and receiver DeVontez Walker all without injury designations.

Regardless of Huntley being under center, the Bears will be without cornerback Tyrique Stevenson as well. Stevenson suffered a shoulder injury in the 26-14 win over the New Orleans Saints. Stevenson has 25 total tackles, one tackle for loss, one forced fumble, two fumble recoveries and one interception this season.

Hopefully Chicago doesn't lose any more players before kickoff.
