Super Bowl champ Kurt Warner praises Bears QB Caleb Williams, spotting progress amid early struggles. The legend sees a pro offense evolving weekly.

While the Chicago Bears are 4-2 and things are looking up, it wasn't always that way, especially in first two games of Ben Johnson's tenure.

Chicago opened the year with two losses to the Minnesota Vikings and Detroit Lions, as things didn't get off to a great start. However, the team is now 4-2 and in the midst of a four-game winning streak with Johnson at the helm.

Throughout the early struggles, people began to question quarterback Caleb Williams and his ability to play quarterback at a high level. However, one person kept faith in the young Bears quarterback, and that was Super Bowl winner Kurt Warner.

Warner has been a continuous supporter of Williams and praised the Chicago gunslinger more on a recent segment on "670 The Score."

"I think Caleb is continuing to make a lot of plays that are there in front of him," Warner said. "There are times where I wish he'd kinda play the play in front of him and not go off script as much, and start going around and doing all of his spins and just play the game, but you have to understand that that's going to be a process. We continue to talk about it, fighting the battle of what he's always done to what Ben wants him to do. I think there's progress every week, and the offense continues, in my opinion, to evolve and become a pro offense that can do a lot of different things. ...I don't expect it to be a perfect product. And there's some issues that Caleb has to keep working on, some mental, some physical, that lead to some of those issues, but to me, I wanna see progress every week and look like an NFL offense. I feel like these last two weeks have been the best version of this Ben-Johnson, Caleb Williams offense."

Warner won his Super Bowl with the St. Louis Rams in 1999 before the franchise moved back to Los Angeles in 2016. Warner had a dominant showing that season, throwing for 4,353 passing yards, 41 touchdowns and 13 interceptions.

Despite struggling at times, Williams has thrown for 1,351 passing yards, nine touchdowns and three interceptions. He has also run for 106 rushing yards and two touchdowns.

Williams recently had some struggles in the 26-14 win over the New Orleans Saints on Sunday. He ended with 172 passing yards, one interception and completed 15-of-26 passing attempts.

We'll see if Williams and the offense can rebound against a Baltimore Ravens defense that is allowing the most points per game at 32.3. Kickoff is at noon CT on CBS.
