Third-Year TE Ranks Second on the Team in Catches, Targets, and Yards

Three games into the 2025 season, and Keon Coleman has set himself apart as the Bills’ No. 1 wide receiver, leading the team with 14 catches, 18 targets, and 158 yards.

But another pass-catcher who’s also emerging as one of Josh Allen’s top targets is third-year tight end Dalton Kincaid.

The former first-round pick burst onto the scene with a solid rookie season, totaling 73 receptions, 673 yards and two touchdowns, but he took a big step back last year, seeing a drop in his catches (43) and yards (448), and he caught just two touchdowns again.

    But this year seems different.

Kincaid has had three solid games, bookmarked by his five-catch, 66-yard, one-touchdown performance in last week’s 31-21 win over the Miami Dolphins on “Thursday Night Football.”

Kincaid scored the first touchdown of the game on a 20-yard completion in which he cut his way through the Dolphins’ defense and barreled into the end zone.

While it seems Allen and Kincaid have simply found their groove, the reigning MVP signal-caller recently admitted that their improved chemistry has been because of the work his young tight end has been putting in.

“I feel like we’re in a good spot,” Allen told reporters. “Obviously, continuing to grow each and every day. Coming out and practicing and making sure we’re still communicating, trying to get on the same page and stay on the same page, but the guy always finds himself in good positions.

“He does everything the right way. He’s following the football. He’s doing a good job of catching the ball and scoring. We love it when we can rely on somebody, that when you throw it up, they’re going to come down with it. He’s been proving to do that.”

Kincaid leads the Bills with two touchdown grabs this season, and he ranks second to only Coleman in receptions (13), yards (151), and targets (16).

The 25-year-old is tied for eight in catches, and ranks eight in receiving yards and sixth in yards per reception (11.6) among TEs with 10 or more catches this season, per Pro Football Focus.
