Quinshon Judkins finally signed his rookie contract over the weekend and is due back with the Cleveland Browns ahead of Week 2

The Cleveland Browns rookie class showed up all over the box score in their 17-16 loss to the Cincinnati Bengals. In Week 2, another rookie could join the fold and make an immediate impact as well.

Running back Quinshon Judkins, who was a second-round pick by the franchise back in April finally agreed to terms on his rookie deal over the weekend and is now slated to return to practice this week. The delay in signing stemmed from Judkins ongoing legal situation after he was arrested for battery domestic violence in July.

Judkins joined a handful of other second round picks across the league who sought fully guaranteed rookie contracts, which he eventually received from the team, despite the fact that he still may face discipline from the league.

For now, the Browns were granted a roster exemption that allows Judkins to essentially be a 54th player on the roster for the next two weeks, however he's only able to practice until the exemption is lifted.

That could happen as soon as next Sunday if Cleveland deems he's ready enough to play against the Baltimore Ravens over the course of the next six days.

Head coach Kevin Stefanski was non-committal to anything in the way of a plan for Judkins this week, or if he'll make his NFL debut in Week 2.

"We'll see," Stefanski said Monday one day after the loss to Baltimore. Gotta get through this week of practice. I don't know."

Even though Judkins has been working out on his own, it would be quite the feat for him to get fully integrated in time for Sunday after missing more then a month of training camp and the entire preseason.

Still, Cleveland struggled to run the football against the Bengals in Week 1, with veteran Jerome Ford and fellow rookies Dylan Sampson and Raheim Sanders combining for just 1.9 yards per carry.  Those struggles likely bring with an urgency to get Judkins out there as soon as possible.

The two-time First-Team All-SEC and Third Team All Big-Ten honoree, was considered the workhorse back of the group as soon as he was drafted.

At this time it's unclear whether or not the league will suspended Judkins for violating the personal conduct policy after his incident in South Florida. Legally, Judkins was cleared in mid-August after state prosecutors decided not to file formal charges against him.

Multiple reports indicate that Judkins will meet with league officials this week to discuss the incident. From there, the league could pursue a suspension for the Browns projected lead back, however, it's unclear how soon such a punishment could come.
