Cleveland Browns QB Dillon Gabriel went 13/18 for 116 yards in Week 7.

The Cleveland Browns beat the Miami Dolphins in Week 7 by a final score of 31-6.

Browns rookie QB Dillon Gabriel, making his first start at home, finished the game 13/18 for 116 yards.

After watching the Browns-Dolphins game, NFL analyst Brent Sobleski of Bleacher Report gave Gabriel the following grade for his performance: C+.

"Dillon Gabriel didn't need to do much of anything during Sunday's contest," Sobleski wrote. "Of note, the Cleveland Browns' rookie quarterback didn't make a major mistake to cost his team, unlike his Dolphins' counterpart.

"In a game with terrible weather, the Browns' defense took care of business, while the offense leaned more heavily on running back Quinshon Judkins. Gabriel threw only 18 passes. Judkins ran for three scores.

"The effort is a major positive in Gabriel's development, because A) he got to enjoy a victory as the starting quarterback and B) the Dolphins' defense didn't bring nearly the amount of pressure the rookie faced a week prior against the Pittsburgh Steelers."

Gabriel hasn't thrown an interception yet this season. He has 546 passing yards and three passing touchdowns.

The lefty is completing 59.8% of his passes for the Browns, who are 2-5 on the season.

"I think just all together, try not to make it about myself, but I think, it's just about the team – us finding a way to win, coming together, that's what’s most important," Gabriel said after the Browns beat the Dolphins for his first win as an NFL starter. "And that's what’s fun, winning is fun, and you know that your attention to detail has to be at a high level to continue to do this."

The Browns face the New England Patriots next week.

Gabriel is eager to continue mistake-free football and building off his first NFL win.

"I think the more film you put together as a unit, there's more to take away," Gabriel said. "And I think there's a lot of areas that we improve week-to-week that we want to improve on. And you see us run the football like that. But there'll be areas. Like we always talk about, in the red area and third downs, that never changes.

"Being plus in the turnover margin. Not one area will just allow you to win, of course, there's certain areas that will, but I think when you come together with all three areas, everyone leaves the field a lot happier, because you put yourself in a good spot to go win games. So, it'll be marginal gains, and try to improve every single week. That's all you can do."
