Kevin Stefanski is still playing coy when it comes to the Cleveland Browns' quarterback situation.

Everyone is wondering whether or not the Cleveland Browns will make a quarterback change heading into Week 5, but as of Sunday night, head coach Kevin Stefanski seemed to be pretty steadfast in staying the course with Joe Flacco.

That may have changed on Monday. Or did it?

Stefanski was once again asked if the Browns would be sticking with Flacco following their Week 4 loss to the Detroit Lions, and this time, Stefanski danced around the question while still kind of, sort of echoing his sentiments from Sunday evening.

"I understand the question. We have to play better and we have to coach better. This is not about one person," Stefanski said, via Zac Jackson of The Athletic.

    So, does that mean yes?

"My focus is on making sure this offense plays better," Stefanski replied.

Well, that probably means removing Flacco from the starting quarterback role, so is there a chance that Cleveland does make the switch to Dillon Gabriel before its upcoming matchup with the Minnesota Vikings in London?

There has been speculation that the Browns do not want to change anything at quarterback until their schedule becomes easier, so many feel that Oct. 19 against the Miami Dolphins would comprise a realistic target date for a move.

But based on the way Flacco has been playing, can Cleveland really wait that long? The 40-year-old went 16-for-34 with 184 yards and a couple of interceptions against the Lions and has tossed two touchdowns and six picks while completing 58.1 percent of his passes through the first four games. He owns a 60.3 passer rating.

Flacco was benched in favor of Gabriel very late in the game against the Lions, but he also gave way to Gabriel in Week 2 versus the Baltimore Ravens, as well. So that might not be an indication of anything.

The Browns selected both Gabriel and Shedeur Sanders in the NFL Draft this past April, but it's entirely possible that the team does not view either rookie as its potential franchise quarterback moving forward.

Perhaps Cleveland is already looking toward the 2026 draft to find its next signal-caller.
