The Kansas City Chiefs have sent a reminder to the rest of the NFL the last two weeks that they once again are among the best teams in the league.
Against the Las Vegas Raiders on Sunday, they won 31-0 and put together one of the most dominating wins you will see. The Chiefs out-gained the Raiders 434-95, and had 30 first downs compared to the Raiders three.
The offense is resembling the Chiefs offense of old, but it has been the defense that has been dominant the last two weeks. Unfortunately, the Chiefs got bad news on that side of the ball, as rookie defensive tackle Omarr Norman-Lott will miss the remainder of the 2025 season with a torn ACL.

#Chiefs DT Omarr Norman-Lott, their second rounder this year, suffered a torn ACL and is out for the season, sources say. The promising young lineman turns his attention to a full recovery for 2026.
Norman-Lott was injured late in the third quarter on Sunday when he was trying to make a tackle on fellow rookie, Ashton Jeanty. Raiders offensive lineman Stone Forsythe put all of his weight on Norman-Lott, and he was called for a 15-yard penalty for unnecessary roughness.
One of the few weaknesses on the Chiefs team is a lack of depth on the defensive line. The team was hoping to continue to let him get more reps so he could play a bigger role in November and December.
He finishes his rookie season with five tackles and one sack, and the focus for him is now be ready for the start of the 2026 season.
For the Chiefs, there had already been rumblings and rumors of the team looking to add defensive line help, and this may have just forced a move.
Earlier in the season, there had been talks about the team adding to the running back room. However, Isiah Pacheco is getting healthier each week, while rookie Brashard Smith is becoming more involved in the offense each week.
The trade deadline in the NFL is on November 4, so there is still plenty of time for teams to make their moves. The Chiefs have a lot of star power on the defensive line in Chris Jones and George Karlaftis. The team has shown the ability to go make late season moves to help the team especially on the defensive line.
Guys like Carlos Dunlap and Terrell Suggs over the past few seasons have been brought in late for a playoff push, and it has worked out very well.
There is a reason why general manager Brett Veach is one of the best in the NFL, and he once again could be planning a move for defensive line help.
