Jacksonville Jaguars fans are getting restless about the play of starting QB Trevor Lawrence. His three-interception performance against the Arizona Cardinals left a bad taste in a lot of people's mouths, despite Jacksonville earning the victory.

Jacksonville Jaguar fans and some members of the media are starting to question if the team has a problem at quarterback. The threshold question is whether Trevor Lawrence is the long-term solution behind center.

The noise got even louder when Lawrence threw three interceptions in the team’s victory Sunday over the Arizona Cardinals.

Although he brought the team back from a seven-point deficit in the fourth quarter. Rumblings among the fan base are whether the team just move on from him.

With his contract extension, do not count on it.

At this point in the season, it’s survive and advance, even if it’s against a bad team like the Cardinals.

Even ESPN’s Dan Orlovsky pointed out how inconsistent the QB has been at times.

“Man, Trevor Lawrence has throws on tape that look like he is the best player at the position in football. Then, he has 3-4 throws a game that he looks like it’s a first start. Roller coaster ride. If he ever gains consistency…”

But quite a few Jaguar fans didn’t feel the same way; in fact, some even thought the Jaguars should have fought harder to keep former backup Mac Jones, who has been leading the charge for the San Francisco 49ers until recently, when starter Brock Purdy returned to action.

“Really REALLY wish we had signed Mac Jones to a few years. He's cleaner than Lawrence in a lot of ways- obviously far less athletic, but seems to have a much better 'calm processing'.”

    Hear me out Dan :

“Maybe, just MAYYYYYBE, he's overrated and hasn't progress at all in 5 years.”

Lawrence has thrown 14 touchdowns this season, but has also thrown 11 interceptions. The natives are getting restless this season, and it’s only going to continue to get louder. It will get really loud  if the 7-4 Jaguars miss the playoffs.

It also doesn’t help that Jones is finally showing what he can do when surrounded by superior talent and a head coach who many see as an offensive genius. Kyle Shanahan has worked wonders with Jones, who will become the next Sam Darnold and command big dollars on the open market, once he becomes a free agent.

Also, don't expect the Jaguars to replace Lawrence any time soon. With the ginormous contract extension he signed last offseason and the extraordinary guarantee in his contract, he is a Jaguar for at least the next few seasons.
