New York Jets quarterback Justin Fields spoke to the media on Saturday for the first time since suffering a concussion in Week 2 against the Buffalo Bills.
Fields, who didn't play in Week 3 against the Tampa Bay Buccaneers, will return to the Jets' lineup in Week 4 against the Miami Dolphins on Monday Night Football.
"Feel good. Feel good," Fields said. "I had an idea, but of course with this concussion stuff, which it was my first, there's some days you feel good and some days the symptoms come right back. But right now, I feel good and hopefully I continue to feel this way when Monday comes."
Fields has 245 passing yards and one passing touchdown on the season. He also has 97 rushing yards and two rushing touchdowns.
The Jets are 0-3 on the season. They lost to the Pittsburgh Steelers in Week 1, the Bills in Week 2 and the Buccaneers in Week 3.
Miami is 0-3 as well, so Monday Night is a big game for both teams.
"We both have yet to get a win this season, so it's a big game for both of us," Fields said. "Monday Night, not much of a bigger stage either. So I know we're going in there to win by any means and they're probably doing the same thing. So like I said, we're excited, we're prepared and ready to go."
New York signed Fields to a two-year, $40 million contract in the offseason after parting ways with future Hall of Famer Aaron Rodgers, who signed with the Steelers.
Fields, 26, has appeared in 52 games with the Chicago Bears, Steelers and Jets. He has thrown for 8,025 yards and 46 touchdowns and rushed for 2,606 yards and 21 touchdowns in the NFL.
