An AFC team has been urged to trade for New York Giants quarterback Jameis Winston.
Former NFL star Ryan Clark believes the Cincinnati Bengals should trade for Winston.
Bengals superstar quarterback Joe Burrow may not play again this season after undergoing foot surgery. Jake Browning has struggled since taking over for Burrow, which is why Clark thinks the Bengals should call the Giants and trade for Winston.
"Watching that Monday Night game with the Cincinnati Bengals, and no disrespect to Jake Browning, but I've seen it," Clark said. "I've seen Jake Browning play his best. The Cincinnati Bengals should trade for Jameis Winston. If Jameis Winston is gonna be the three on the New York Giants, and I get it right there's gonna be hey but what about him throwing interceptions? Also too he could throw it a damn mile.
"And they got Tee Higgins out there who could run by people. You got Ja'Marr Chase, who's the top one or two wide receivers in all the NFL. And when you watch that team now, they are not close to that. Ja'Marr doesn't get an opportunity to show you what a $141 million wide receiver looks like. I don't know if you win games. I don't think Jameis Winston can go out there and tackle for Al Golden's defense, but he gives you a better chance than Jake Browning.
"And the other piece is this, tell me it wouldn't be freaking fun to see Jameis Winston starting again with that talent around him and an opportunity to go make plays. He gives them a better chance than what Jake Browning does and he ain't doing nobody no good being a number three in New York."
The Giants benched Russell Wilson for rookie Jaxson Dart in Week 4. Dart led New York to its first win of the season against the Los Angeles Chargers at home.
Wilson is the No. 2 quarterback for the Giants, while Winston is the third quarterback. Winston will only play in New York if Dart and Wilson get hurt.
The 31-year-old Winston played for the Cleveland Browns last season. He threw for 2,121 yards, 13 touchdowns and 12 interceptions.
