Could Russell Wilson be traded soon?

The New York Giants (0-3) benched quarterback Russell Wilson for rookie Jaxson Dart three weeks into the season.

Unless Dart gets injured, Wilson has thrown his last pass for the Giants.

A future Hall of Famer, Wilson said he won't ask New York to trade or release him. However, Joseph Zucker of Bleacher Report believes three teams should think about trading for the former Seattle Seahawks star gunslinger.

They are the Cincinnati Bengals, Miami Dolphins and New Orleans Saints.

The Bengals lost superstar quarterback Joe Burrow to a foot injury. He could miss the rest of the season.

Zucker thinks Wilson is an upgrade over Jake Browning.

Dolphins quarterback Tua Tagovailoa is off to a terrible start this season. His QBR ranks 29th (35.8) among qualified passers at ESPN.com.

Wilson's QBR is worse (34.0), but Miami could bring the veteran in to provide some pressure to Tagovailoa.

The Saints are starting Spencer Rattler at quarterback right now. Zucker believes New Orleans should "take a flier on Wilson" and see what the one-time Super Bowl champion can do for them.

Wilson signed a one-year deal with the Giants in the offseason after playing for the Pittsburgh Steelers last season. The 10-time Pro Bowler threw for 778 yards, three touchdowns and three interceptions for New York against the Washington Commanders, Dallas Cowboys and Kansas City Chiefs.

Wilson has played for the Seahawks, Denver Broncos, Steelers and Giants. He has 46,913 passing yards, 353 passing touchdowns, 5,556 rushing yards and 31 rushing touchdowns in the NFL.

Wilson was born and raised in Cincinnati, Ohio, which is why many pundits believe the Bengals should trade for him. He's not as talented as he used to be, but Wilson can still throw a good deep ball and the Bengals have two of the top wideouts in the league in Ja'Marr Chase and Tee Higgins.

It will be fascinating to see if Wilson gets traded or remains with the Giants as the No. 2 quarterback behind Dart.
