The Las Vegas Raiders are off to a frustrating 1-3 start in the Pete Carroll-Geno Smith era. So far, there isn't much to be encouraged about except for Ashton Jeanty finally rushing for 100 yards in the Week 4 loss to the Chicago Bears.
At this rate, trades could be an option for Las Vegas, and wide receiver Jakobi Meyers will be one name to watch. The veteran requested a trade in the summer but stayed in Las Vegas, and it could be a matter of time before he is headed elsewhere.
Alex Kay of Bleacher Report had some trade ideas, and one of them involved Meyers being traded to the Atlanta Falcons in exchange for a 2026 fourth-round pick.
"One of the more glaring issues is a lack of weapons for second-year quarterback Michael Penix Jr. to work with. The team has been leaning heavily on Bijan Robinson to generate much of its offense, evidenced by the superstar back leading Atlanta in both rushing and receiving yardage over the first four contests," Kay wrote. "With Drake London and Kyle Pitts being the only other Atlanta players to record at least 200 receiving yards this season—not to mention the only other Falcons to record more than seven catches or 16 targets or 79 receiving yards or a touchdown reception in 2025—there is a clear need for a higher quality WR2 to round out the passing attack."
Darnell Mooney has also struggled so far for the Falcons, so adding a player such as Meyers would make sense for Atlanta.
"Meyers has been moonlighting as a WR1 for the Las Vegas Raiders following Davante Adams' departure and leads the club with 21 catches for 258 yards and 33 targets," Kay added. "While those are strong marks, he'd make for an excellent No. 2 option behind London in Atlanta and has the ability to instantly elevate the Falcons receiving corps to one of the league's best."
Meyers had 22 targets combined in the first two games with a total of 14 receptions, but he has yet to score a touchdown this season in Las Vegas. Furthermore, Meyers was born in Lithonia, Georgia, so returning to his home state could be a cool wrinkle for the soon-to-be 29-year-old wide receiver.
