The Minnesota Vikings probably won't add the best quarterback in 2026. They will, however, probably land the best quarterback that they can realistically add.

There's plenty of buzz that Kirk Cousins will be that quarterback, but presumably the team holds the power to go out and trade for Kyler Murray or Mac Jones if the Arizona Cardinals or San Francisco 49ers want to get something back for the quarterbacks.

Whether or not the Vikings have the trade capital to pull off the move might be up for debate, but the will is there for the team to do whatever it takes to find its next starter. Look for Minnesota to make a splash.
