A look at Chelsea's humiliating defeat against Leeds which has seemingly ended their title run.

Chelsea's seven match unbeaten run has eventually come to an end as they were handed a 1-3 defeat at the hands of Leeds who currently sit at the bottom of the table with 14 points in 14 games.

This comes on the back of two spectacular displays from Enzo Maresca's men, who defeated Barcelona 3-0 in the UEFA Champions league and earned a hard fought point against Arsenal whilst their main man in midfield, Moises Caicedo was sent off during 38th minute of the game.

Everyone around the club were hopeful of giving Arsenal and Manchester City a run for their money in the Premier league title run but it all came crashing down after yesterday's defeat which has given Arsenal a nine point lead over the Blues, who currently sit at fourth with 24 points.

Five talking points regarding Chelsea's 1-3 defeat against Leeds

    1. As it seems Caicedo's suspension of two more games will haunt the side against Bournemouth and Everton if Maresca doesn't find a solution for the Blues midfield which simply were not there to perform any defensive duties whatsoever.
    2. Maresca needs to be more decisive while choosing his defenders as Tosin Adarabioyo, despite being the weak link in the Blues' past few fixtures was given a start and if that wast astonishing enough, he played the full ninety minutes.
    3. Liam Delap has seemingly left his goalscoring boots at home as Chelsea registered only two shots on target during the course of the game but his hunger to get the ball could be seen as a positive.
    4. Reece James needs to take responsibility as the captain of the side and also be available to play back to back high intensity games when he's fully fit and that also implies for other Blues players also.
    5. Pedro Neto needs to start every game and that should be non negotiable for Maresca. With the quality he has shown in every game this season, there shouldn't be doubt in anybody's mind about him being a starter for Chelsea.

With the inclusion of Neto, Cole Palmer and Alejandro Garnacho in the second half and a quick second half equalizer from Neto, the Blues were hopeful of a comeback victory during the tough midweek clash but Tosin's mistake in the 72nd minute ended all hopes for the side who were hoping of title run up until yesterday but the lack of experience has seemingly given the Blues a reality check for the time being.
