Bayern Munich faces PSG with several absences. Polo Breitner says a thin bench could be 'complicated' for the German side.

Bayern Munich will step onto the field at the Parc des Princes this Tuesday against PSG with the ambition of taking an advantage before the return leg in Bavaria. But some are worried about the German club's collective.

PSG and Bayern Munich have a date with history this Tuesday night, in the Champions League semifinal first leg at the Parc des Princes.

The French capital club will be at full strength to host the Bavarians, whereas the German side will not be. The German champions indeed lament several important absences.

Even though the starting lineup fielded by Vincent Kompany looks impressive, the bench could lack the depth to make an impact on the match, especially against an opponent like Paris Saint-Germain. And Polo Breitner will not say otherwise.

On RMC, the consultant indeed expressed some doubts about Bayern Munich: "This is a Bayern that has become likable. It fights to pick up points and does not distort the league. Everything that is happening is positive, especially for a match with no stakes against Mainz. Bayern is a team that refuses defeat. (...) It's 50-50 for this match. But what is certain is that there are many absentees on the bench. If there are injuries in the starting lineup, it could be complicated for Bayern."

PSG and Bayern Munich are, in any case, among the big favorites for the ultimate title in the Champions League, and this double confrontation has the air of a final before its time.

Every detail will count, and this first leg at the Parc des Princes will be of capital importance before the return leg in Bavaria. For this match in Paris, Bayern will notably have to do without Serge Gnabry, Raphael Guerreiro, and Lennart Karl.
