PSG's pursuit of Real Madrid star has received a major update.
According to the Spanish media, PSG is eager to sign Eduardo Camavinga next summer. This information has been denied in France, where it is assured that there is no contact between the Real Madrid player and the Parisian club.
Lacking playing time with Real Madrid and in danger with the French national team just weeks before Didier Deschamps' World Cup roster, Eduardo Camavinga will be one of the attractions of the upcoming transfer market in Europe. The former Stade Rennais midfielder has a strong chance of leaving the White House.
Florentino Perez is not opposed to a departure for his 23-year-old midfielder, and Paris Saint-Germain is monitoring his situation. That is at least what the newspaper AS announced last week. The Spanish media reported that PSG was interested in Camavinga and that a transfer to the French capital was possible next summer.
Nevertheless, the Spanish media's version has been denied in France. According to insider Abdel Hamed, generally well-informed on Parisian transfer news, there is "zero contact" between Eduardo Camavinga and Paris Saint-Germain at this time. The recent performances of the French international with Real Madrid as well as with the French national team may have cooled PSG's interest to the point of turning back on this case and focusing on other options.
Starting for the Merengue club against Mallorca on Saturday afternoon, Eduardo Camavinga did not score points. His team lost, and Real Madrid's number 6 once again delivered a very dull performance, also being too lax in marking on Mallorca's first goal. Enough to push back Luis Enrique and Luis Campos, even though the two men's intention is indeed to strengthen their midfield for next season.
Because for PSG, there is no question of starting another season with only four very high-level players (Fabian Ruiz, Vitinha, Joao Neves, and Warren Zaire-Emery) for three starting spots in the midfield.
