Complacency has PSG teetering as Lens mounts a title charge, jeopardizing their season and potential trophy haul.

Lens is now only one point behind PSG, and even if Paris has a game in hand against Nantes this week, a journalist from L'Equipe believes everything can still turn around.

There is no fire at home, but the defeat against Olympique Lyonnais inevitably complicates the task for Paris Saint-Germain at the end of this season.

While the European champions had a cushion over RC Lens, that cushion has shrunk dramatically. Appearing very annoyed when asked about his decision to rotate his squad against Lyon, head coach Luis Enrique remains very confident.

But on L'Equipe du Soir, Yoann Riou is convinced that this Ligue 1 weekend probably reversed the trend.

While he does not say that the Sang et Or will be French champions at the end of Matchday 34 of Ligue 1, the journalist believes that Paris put itself in danger alone and could even finish the season without any trophy, which would be a first in several seasons.

"If PSG beats Nantes, which seems possible, Paris will go to Bollaert with a four-point lead. But if Lens beats PSG, you could potentially come back to a one-point gap just before the final day. That night, you will have Paris FC-Paris SG and Lyon-Lens, so we could have an extraordinary Matchday 34. For Paris Saint-Germain, it is going to be very complicated now. It is paradoxical because they are in an extraordinary situation, because you are fantastic in the Champions League and in Ligue 1, but how will Luis Enrique manage this mandatory turnover? Because now doubt is beginning to creep in. Already, they are on the verge of a historic double, but you could also end up empty-handed like Inter last season. The Italian club was competing on several fronts and lost everything. This weekend, you had Lens that overturned everything against Toulouse, and then you have Paris cracking. I think it could be a turning point," Yoann Riou said.

Alongside him, Regis Brouard nonetheless pointed out to the journalist that in this scenario, he was not taking into account Lens' performances at all, as the northern club could also drop points along the way, as has been the case in recent weeks. In any case, Wednesday's PSG-Nantes suddenly takes on major importance, as does next weekend's trip to Angers. PSG-Bayern will wait a little longer.
