Following the Round of 16 results, Paris Saint-Germain will face Liverpool in the Champions League quarterfinals, a matchup that will see them reunite with Hugo Ekitike, who plays for the English club.

PSG will head back to England for the Champions League quarterfinals, with Liverpool as their opponent. The Merseyside club easily dispatched Galatasaray, dominated from start to finish, on Wednesday night (4-0) in the second leg of the Round of 16 after having lost the first leg by the narrowest of margins. Suffice it to say that Arne Slot's squad, which will face PSG again, was hardly troubled.

PSG will face Liverpool for the second consecutive year, with the first leg taking place at the Parc des Princes on Tuesday, April 7 or Wednesday, April 8. The return leg at Anfield will depend on the date of the first match: if the first leg is Tuesday the 7th, the return will be on Wednesday the 15th. Conversely, if PSG-Liverpool is on Wednesday the 8th, the return will take place in Liverpool on Tuesday, April 14.

By scoring a goal on Wednesday in the second leg, Hugo Ekitike was decisive once again, having established himself at the tip of the Reds' attack. The former PSG forward will thus face his old club, likely with a strong desire for redemption.

Liverpool's recent matches include a 1-1 draw against Tottenham, a 1-0 loss to Galatasaray, and a 3-1 win over Wolves in the FA Cup, which came just after losing 2-1 to the same Wolverhampton side in the Premier League. Before that, they routed West Ham 5-2.

The Reds currently sit in fifth place in the Premier League with 49 points after 30 games, posting a record of 14 wins, seven draws, and nine losses. By the standards of the Anfield club, it is far from their best campaign.
