PSG defeated Inter Milan 5-0 this Saturday, May 31st, in the grand final of the 2024-25 UEFA Champions League.

With this victory, Paris Saint-Germain have secured its first Champions League title in its short but thrilling history.

The scoreboard opened as early as the 12th minute, when Desire Doue assisted Achraf Hakimi for the Moroccan to put the Rouge et Bleu squad ahead.

Minutes later, at 20', Desire Doue scored to make it 2-0, assisted by Ousmane Dembele. The Parisians went into halftime with this partial lead.

In the second half, it wasn't until the 63rd minute that PSG extended their lead further, courtesy of an unstoppable Doue, assisted by Vitinha.

Despite the lopsided scoreline, Luis Enrique's squad didn't tire and kept pushing forward. At 73', Khvicha Kvaratskhelia, who had already attempted three times, made it 4-0 for the French capital's team after another assist from Ousmane Dembele.

But the Parisians wouldn't stop there. At 86', it was 19-year-old youth player Senny Mayulu who scored the 5-0 and final goal for PSG, assisted by Bradley Barcola.

Paris Saint-Germain thus makes history and becomes the only French club to win two European titles: the 1995-96 UEFA Cup Winners' Cup and the 2024-25 Champions League.

The Enrique-coached team will attempt to expand their continental trophy cabinet next August 13th when they face Tottenham, Europa League champions, in the UEFA Super Cup.
