Discover the iconic Albion threads that defined eras. From Graham Potter's magic to promotion glory, these Brighton home shirts stand out.

Brighton have been known for being the influential club for young players who are raised and sold for huge profits. Perhaps you may know Brighton for being a disruptor of the big 6, and a club trying to break the mould to fit into the next generation of big clubs in the football world.

What you may not know Brighton for, though, is being the club with iconic football kits. So, has there been any since their promotion to the Premier League in 2017? Let's see a list of the top 3...

1) 2021/22

This is the best, no doubt. A perfect blend of blue and white with a nice gold trim to match it.

The blue on the back became an iconic part of the Graham Potter era, and the break of the Covid in lockdown era.

The lockdown football was tough to watch at the best of times, and when it finally ended, whatever came next was always going to be remembered in a positive light.

The kit was perfect and was worn by some of the greatest Albion players to ever play for the club.

2) 2017/18

The kit that became iconic for a variety of reasons.

Albion's first-ever kit in the Premier League. A shirt that signed players like Pascal Groß, and grew to become the first of its kind. Was it a little bit messy? Possibly. But did that change the love for it? Absolutely not.

The blend of blue and white was great. Too much blue and it looks like Chelsea, too much white and you have a Tesco carrier bag. When they're done perfectly, you have Brighton and Hove Albion.

Anthony Knockaert walking out on the stage in the promotion parade on Hove Lawns while dancing with the fans stamped itself in Brighton history. Albion had finally made it to the promised land, and without looking back, it remains the most famous Premier League shirt to this day.

3) 2019/20

Despite the connotations towards lockdown, which we have previously mentioned in this piece, we cannot rewrite history. This shirt was arguably one of the best designs in Brighton's recent history.

The shirt that became one of the only kits to have the details in the blue stripes, and for once, made a white back look very good.

While we may not be ranking away and third shirts in this piece, as far as collections released go, this would possibly take number one spot for the full release. Arguably, third could be quite harsh!
