The Meged’s are back in familiar territory. Shelby shattering her own records while sitting atop of the pack. Meanwhile, husband Haven is surging into NFR contention with a late season comeback that is turning heads.

Shelby is having a banner of a year. With a string of dominant performances across the summer, after her big Calgary win she closed the big gap between Taylor Munsell and the rest of the ladies. Shelby sat number 2 for quite awhile, until recently. Not only did she pass up Munsell, but did so by breaking her own single season earnings record.

Shelby has held the covenant number 1 back number going into the NFBR for two years already, and has a world championship too. She is off to a strong start for another gold buckle.

After a mid-season injury that threatened to derail Haven's 2025 year, the world champion is proving that determination and consistency can take you miles. Meged had to sit out of the crucial fourth run of the PRCA regular season — a stretch that holds some of the biggest rodeos of the year. For many athletes, missing those would have been the end. Not for Haven, who now against all odds has crawled his way back into the Top 15 with a real chance at another NFR qualification.

Since returning from injury, Haven has been on a heater stringing together wins with true champion-like consistency. He is having the kind of comeback that not only could salvage his season but be unforgettable in the history books too. If his current  streak holds as one can expect, no one will be surprised to see him show in Vegas not just to rope, but to win.

Together Shelby and Haven are among the best. With just weeks remaining in the 2025 regular season, all eyes are on both Megeds. Success tends to surround itself with success. Watching Haven and Shelby compete, it is clear that winners don’t just win, but elevate everyone around them too.
