Alyssa Thomas just became the second WNBA All-Star to sign with Project B, joining Nneka Ogwumike in the new Saudi-backed women’s basketball league launching in November 2026.

The league is offering players big salaries and equity stakes, with Alana Beard leading basketball operations and pushing to build a global competition that runs during the WNBA offseason.

Thomas’ decision means she’ll leave Unrivaled, the 3-on-3 league run by Napheesa Collier and Breanna Stewart, since the two leagues will have overlapping schedules.

So what do you think — will Project B’s money and global format pull more WNBA stars away from Unrivaled and overseas play?
