Brock Purdy Headlines Dominant Offensive PFF Grades in MNF Win Over Colts cover image

Purdy ignites the 49ers offense with a historic showing. Elite protection and explosive plays pave the way for a dominant MNF victory.

The San Francisco 49ers delivered one of their most complete offensive performances of the season on Monday Night Football, rolling past Philip Rivers and the Indianapolis Colts behind an elite showing from quarterback Brock Purdy. Pro Football Focus grades reflect just how sharp Kyle Shanahan’s offense was, highlighted by career nights, efficient protection, and explosive production through the air.

Purdy earned the highest overall grade of the game, posting a staggering 96.6 offensive grade across 63 snaps which is also the highest single-game quarterback grade in the NFL this season. The third-year signal caller completed 25 of 34 passes for 295 yards, five touchdowns, and one interception, finishing with a 126.8 passer rating. His 95.7 passing grade also marked a career high, as Purdy consistently punished coverage with quick decisions and precise ball placement.

Tight end George Kittle continued his resurgence, earning a 94.8 offensive grade and the game’s highest receiving grade (94.6). Kittle hauled in seven passes for 115 yards and a touchdown on eight targets, and notably, every one of his receptions moved the chains. Even though Kittle left the game early with a hamstring injury, he was efficient with the time he did play.

Left tackle Trent Williams once again anchored the offensive line, earning a 91.0 offensive grade and leading all linemen in run blocking with a 93.0 mark. Williams’ dominance set the tone up front, helping San Francisco establish balance throughout the night. Right tackle Colton McKivitz also impressed, posting an 85.7 grade across 63 snaps, despite allowing two pressures.

Overall, the 49ers’ offensive line surrendered just five total pressures, it was a strong showing against a Colts front that struggled to disrupt Purdy’s rhythm. Center Jake Brendel earned the best pass-blocking grade of the game (80.0), though his run-blocking grade (63.0) ranked lowest among linemen with significant snaps. Left guard Spencer Burford recorded the lowest pass-blocking grade among the starting linemen at 64.4.

In the backfield, Christian McCaffrey led the way with the team’s top rushing grade (70.1), carrying the ball 21 times for 117 yards at 5.6 yards per attempt. It marked just his third 100-yard rushing performance of the season and shines a clear light the offense’s commitment to balance.

Not every contributor graded out cleanly. Tight end Luke Farrell posted the lowest offensive grade (43.7), while Kyle Juszczyk (55.2) and Kendrick Bourne (58.0) also struggled in limited opportunities. Bourne and Jauan Jennings were responsible for the game’s only drops.

Still, when Purdy plays at this level and the protection holds, the 49ers’ offense might be the most dangerous unit in football.
