**Information Purposes* Source: Adobe/Yury and TanyaWell it seems the Central bank is against pegged stablecoins with fiat, oil, or gold. Even though the Ministry of Finance wants those coins to launch in Russia, so what's the deal?
Well it's because the Central Bank, thinks the assets used as collateral is not guaranteed!! sheesh!. The Ministry of Finance and the Central Bank have been struggling with each other regarding crypto, the ministry wants to adopt it but the CB says this will create a "shadow" economy and eventually undermine the ruble. The Central Bank does want Russian firms using crypto in international payments but for both of them to fully adopt crypto might take a while for Russia to be one of the countries crypto-friendly.
So the Central Bank pretty much wants a CBDC Ruble and that's it!!! So time will tell...
