Sure, but they (LUNA) are quite different and USDT is less vulnerable. I do however believe there is great interest by powerful entities to see Tether collapse. Exchanges on the other hand have everything to loose by a collapse of USDT and will actively help to prevent this from happening until it no longer forms an existential threat.
