Venezuelan Crime Gang stole crypto (Click to find out from whom!!)

Hey gang...Well a Venezuelan crime gang was on the loose targeting Venezuelan's for their crypto.

So it seems in Venezuela, a gang of not so smart criminals were targeting the elderly, yeap you read that right, the elderly for their crypto. Using the Patria crypto remittance platform, a platform run by the government for people overseas to send their crypto to their family and friends, through their own token the petro (PTR) . 
Seems the criminals managed to get login details from retirees and also created fake accounts from dead retirees to get the government to send them tokens, then transfer all to different wallets in other platforms to do the withdrawls.

Douglas Rico, the Director of the Scientific, Penal, and Criminal Investigation Service Corps (known locally as the CICPC) posted on instagram the capture of 3 of the gang members around their 20's and one on the 30+. Good point for the good guys, now once they get processed let's see how many years in jail they get for preying on the elderly, in my honest opinion...15 to 25 would be good, they leave old and have less time to save for their own retirement, see how it feels.
