Steven Boykey Sidley, a professor and author from South Africa, has argued that the United States' attempts to "assassinate crypto" are illegal and unlikely to be successful due to the fact that "crypto is global." Sidley says that many companies and innovators who used to be based in the United States have left the country and established bases in countries with regulatory environments that are more "comfortable."

The United States’ Agenda Against Crypto

South African practice professor Steven Boykey Sidley has accused U.S. regulators and departments of orchestrating coordinated and "possibly illegal" efforts to "assassinate crypto," according to him. In his op-ed, published by the Daily Maverick, Sidley cites the U.S. Federal Reserve's “opaque and non-explanatory” reasons for refusing to grant Custodia Bank a national banking license as one example of how U.S. authorities are attempting to kill crypto. Sidley insisted that there are no moral or legal grounds to justify the attempts to take out BTC, particularly in light of the fact that the world is in the As per the teacher, the bank and its organizer Caitlin Long were focused on lessening chances and helping investors' certainty "that their stores into crypto-trades were upheld 1:1."

Sidley attests in the commentary that the U.S. Central bank's unexpected and incomprehensible withdrawal from its commitment with Custodia recommends that the US has an evil plan against cryptos.

Coordinated Attacks

Sidley also talked about how U.S. regulators seem to have coordinated their attacks on crypto entities.

"Inquisitively unintentional in time, here and there occurring promptly after an apparently irrelevant declaration from some unique corner of government. In the op-ed, Sidley stated, "Keep in mind that some of the bodies are supposed to be completely independent. They are designed not to collaborate for excellent reasons of conflict avoidance."

Sidley, co-author of the book Beyond Bitcoin: Despite what he considers to be illegal actions on the part of U.S. regulators, According to the book Decentralised Finance and the End of Banks, powerful opponents such as U.S. senator Elizabeth Warren are still unlikely to win because "crypto is global." He asserted that numerous companies, developers, and innovators formerly based in the United States have already relocated to Dubai, Hong Kong, Singapore, and Switzerland, where the regulatory environment is more "comfortable."
