Kizhi is an architectural ensemble of two wooden churches and a bell tower of the XVIII–XIX centuries, built without nails. This is one of the main Russian attractions. It is located on an island in Lake Onega and is part of the Kizhi State Historical and Architectural Museum. This is a great place to study history and crafts, as well as to reflect on eternal themes.

Here are the pearls of ancient Russian architecture — the Church of the Intercession and Transfiguration, a tent bell tower, as well as a partially preserved ancient cemetery with a wooden palisade around it.

The basis of the museum collection — the ensemble of the Kizhi Pogost is included in the UNESCO World Cultural and Natural Heritage List.

The Church of the Transfiguration of the Lord, dated 1714, as stated by the inscription on the cross of the temple. It was erected without a single nail, which is traditional for Russian carpentry, and is a complex architectural structure of octahedral and pentahedral log cabins of different sizes
