Ancient Arkaim — The City of the Sun, Chelyabinsk region

There are many miracles in the world, but for some reason it seems that they are all very far from us. However, one of these wonders is very close — in the Chelyabinsk region. In 1987, near Mount Arkaim in the Chelyabinsk region, it was planned to build a Large Karagansky reservoir. During a preliminary survey of the area, the researchers saw mysterious circles in the center of the valley. During the archaeological excavations, it became clear that a real sensation had been discovered. It was an ancient city, equating to the age of the Egyptian pyramids and Stonehenge in England — more than 40 centuries. Circles on the ground.According to archaeologists and historians, the city was built of wood and brick, compressed from straw, soil and manure, and surrounded by a two-meter bypass moat filled with water. From the outside, Arkaim was beautiful — a perfectly round city with eye-catching gatehouses, burning lights and a beautifully decorated "facade". The street had a log deck and a storm drain. In each of the 35 dwellings adjacent to the outer wall, there was a well, a small dome-shaped storage, which is, in fact, a refrigerator, and a furnace arranged in such a way that it allowed to melt bronze without the use of bellows. The upper street, where chariots were driven, passed along the roofs of the dwellings. 25 inner dwellings were isolated from all by a seven-meter wall, and in order to approach the entrance to the inner ring, it was necessary to walk along the entire length of the street. This had a hidden meaning: the person entering had to walk the path that the sun passes. Arkaim is crowned by the central square, where rites and sacraments were performed. The city was built according to a pre-designed plan as a single complex complex, and oriented according to astronomical objects with the greatest accuracy. About 4 thousand years ago, the inhabitants of this mysterious place suddenly left their homes for unknown reasons, after which the settlement burned down and collapsed.
