Mocking India for population and growth

There is no racism here. Political cartoons are exaggerated drawings that depict people in a funny or ridiculous way. While this cartoon is exaggerated, it's true that India needs better public infrastructure.

We don't control how people see things.

Why are we of you so sad about it? This isn't the worst opinion foreigners have about India.

Let me describe how India is seen around the world: roads with cows, polluted air, overcrowded trains, seen as a place of spirituality and mystery, known for scams and harassment of foreigners, incidents of sexual assault against women, cricket and computers, and a declining democracy. These perceptions are not entirely unfounded.

Take the cartoon as a joke. Acknowledge that our public infrastructure really does need improvement. Make similar light-hearted comments about other countries. Move on.
