Wrestlers’ protest: ‘Panel asked us for audio, video proof

May 16, 2023 3:01 PM

To demonstrate that someone has been sexually harassed or assaulted, you must produce video evidence or other documentation. Even though it may appear unfair, an accusation by itself cannot result in a conviction.

It becomes a case of your word against theirs when there is no evidence, which is the problem.

. Although it may sound harsh, if people could be convicted based solely on the victim's statement, there would be a flood of false cases intended to extort innocent individuals.

Even with the intense media attention and public support surrounding high-profile athletes, they still struggle to initiate legal proceedings against the offenders. This raises concerns about the chances of justice for ordinary people. It's truly disheartening, and hopefully, these individuals receive the justice they deserve as soon as possible.
