
Fulham won their final match before the international break to keep their European dreams alive and now their stars are heading far and wide. As many as 13 Fulham stars are in action across either UEFA World Cup qualifiers or friendlies.
Having survived a brief scare against Burnley and kept alive their European hopes, Fulham stars from across the globe can now turn their eyes to international duty.
There are a whole host of friendlies as players desperately try and earn selection for the World Cup, while there are also some hugely important UEFA World Cup qualifiers.
In total, there are 13 members of the Cottagers’ squad who are involved with their countries and we take you through all of their international break plans.
Calvin Bassey (Nigeria)
Centre back Calvin Bassey, fresh from a timely upturn in form will be involved for Nigeria over their two friendlies against Iran and Jordan.
Joachim Andersen (Denmark)
Joachim Andersen has a hugely important game ahead of him as Denmark are forced to fight for their spot at the World Cup this summer.
Andersen will be at the heart of the Danish defence as they host North Macedonia in the semi-finals, before hopefully advancing to the final, where they will face either Czechia or the Republic of Ireland.
Timothy Castagne (Belgium)
Timothy Castagne delivered a brilliant performance for the Cottagers against Burnley and he will hope to take that form into the international break.
Belgium are facing two of the three World Cup hosts in the USA and Mexico.
Issa Diop (Morocco)
Fresh from declaring his loyalties to Morocco, Issa Diop will hope to make his debut this Spring.
Morocco take on Ecuador and Paraguay in friendlies and Diop will be hoping he can get himself involved in the World Cup squad.
Antonee Robinson (USA)
After returning from injury, Antonee Robinson returns to Mauricio Pochettino’s USA national team.
Robinson will hope to re-cement his left back spot under Pochettino in friendly matches against Belgium and Portugal.
Sander Berge (Norway)
Norway are in action against the Netherlands and Swtizerland and Sander Berge will be hoping to cement his place in the heart of the midfield ahead of the World Cup.
Sasa Lukic (Serbia)
Having not qualified for the World Cup, Serbia will be hoping to restore some pride back to the national jersey.
Sasa Lukic will have the chance to do that, as Serbia face Qatar and Spain in friendlies.
Josh King (England U21)
The hero of the hour for Fulham, 19-year-old Josh King is once again recalled to the England U21 squad.
Lee Carsley’s side face Andorra and Moldova as they look to keep up their unbeaten start to Group D of qualifying.
Raul Jimenez (Mexico)
After converting his 14th penalty from 14 in the Premier League, Raul Jimenez is once again called up to the Mexico squad.
With as many as 121 caps for his country, Jimenez will look to add to that when his country face Portugal and Belgium in friendlies.
Harry Wilson (Wales)
Another, like Andersen, who is in more important action than just a friendly this week.
Wales face a mammoth clash against Bosnia and Herzegovina on Thursday night and should they win that, they will face the winner of Italy and Northern Ireland’s semi-final.
Oscar Bobb (Norway)
Similarly to Berge, Oscar Bobb has been called into the Norway squad.
He will hope to add to his two goals from 16 caps against the Netherlands and Switzerland.
Alex Iwobi (Nigeria)
Alex Iwobi will join Calvin Bassey as Nigeria face Iran and Jordan.
The Fulham star can get to 98 caps should he feature in both matches.
Samuel Chukwueze (Nigeria)
The third Cottager in the Nigeria squad, Samuel Chukwueze was also selected for the matches against Iran and Jordan.
