Banners, how do they work? How to use them!

We've all seen banners on BBS, they are paid for either by users or by the GS (growth seeding program). On METABBS, which is a whitelisted community, it is user paid only.
If you want to pay for a banner you have to use your cashable money so be aware of this.
First you have to go in your profile
Revenues tab, scroll all the way down
You can see the banner, you edit it with the little pen button. It is important to edit this before you advertise because it is what the advertisement will show and redirect to. I believe by default the banner is empty and only redirects to you own profile on the first community you joined. (This might be wrong but doesn't matter as you'll want to change that link anyway)
Upload a picture, add some text and most importantly chose where you want to redirect as it is essentially what your ad campaign will be.The picture needs to convey an idea and make people want to click on it. The link must be something that is useful to you. It could be a link to your own BBS, it could be a link to a specific post, or maybe you want to promote your youtube channel...
Though as every ad campaign you need to understand that most people will NOT click it. So if you think by spending say $2 for 1000 clicks you will get ad revenue on your own post that will be superior to the price you paid, you might not have a good surprise, but on the other hand maybe you will. Maybe you are better at advertising than I am. I'm just here to present the risks
So now that you've created your banner and added a link and description, you can click on create an ad. You can chose to deposit as much cashable as you have. You can put a bid way above that amount. It just means that say you have $5 to use and you bid $50, you will give a $50 CPM for a total price of $5. Which means you ad campaign will last only 100 impressions.I put the less than $3 on this banner and by the time I finish editing this post it will likely be gone.

I did that as an example. What wouldn't I do for good tutorials ahah. As always you can look at stats in the little clipboard button.

Hopefully that helps, if you liked my tutorials, there are more!
