What is the CPM?

The CPM or Cost Per Mille means the cost of a 1000 advertisements. Why is it like this? Well it's an old advertisement norm from what I understand. But that's not the real important part.
I am sure you have seen banners above posts you have opened. Those all have one thing in common. There is a user's name and a price is $ near CPM.
A banner on a board with growth seeding. metabbs@bbs I.E. the platform itself is funding the board for a $150 CPM and for $1000 in total.
METABBS's banner, a community that has the Mining Engagement. The price is paid by users but has a $150 boost linked to Mining Engagement.
MNFTC's banner, a community that doesn't have the Mining Engagement yet. The price is fully paid by users. Not that the same user can advertise in different boards for a different amount of money.
Now how does that ties to users?
Well each time you publish something or own a post that get opened by a user you get some of that CPM as ad revenue.
We already established that CPM means cost per mille and the ad revenue is divided between the publisher and owner 50/50. This means that if the CPM is say $100 + mining engagement, you divide $250 by 1000 and then by 2, which means you would get for one click on your post a $0.125 ad revenue.

You may also have seen this. 3 impressions for $0.3 ($100.69). What is the big number? Well it is the average CPM you got for those 3 impressions. It generally varies if your are the publisher and the owner of a post at some or all time, it can also vary if people clicked on your post during different banner prices.
Each time you get ad revenue it pool up and once it reaches $1 or exceeds it, you get a payment in cashable.
I hope this answered your questions.
If you have any more please ask.
