The film was shot in 1998. This is a joint project of several countries: Russia, Czech Republic, Italy, France.

The movie is a bit heavy to watch. You experience a lot of different emotions throughout the film. From joy for the heroes to tears for their experiences, their destinies. The one who loves dramas and melodramas is just that movie.

The storyline of the film is about how two people from different walks of life fall in love with each other when they accidentally meet on a train. They had to overcome various obstacles for the sake of their love, but this love was initially doomed to failure.

And so. The film was shot about the era when Tsar Alexander III ruled. A certain Mr. McCracken wants to get a permit for the production of a self-propelled sawmill. To do this, he invites the adventurer Jane. Her task is to make General Radlov fall in love with her so that he agrees to the production. On the way, she meets the young junker Andrei. Naturally, he falls in love with her, not knowing that she is engaged in fraud to earn a living. For her sake, he is ready for a lot. He even decided out of jealousy to beat Radlov, who became his rival. This situation is presented as if Andrew made an attempt on the tsar. Andrey agrees with the verdict and is sent into exile because of this act. Despite the act of Jane, who is getting married to another, she really loves Andrei and is looking for a meeting with him in different ways at hard labor. But Andrey understands that they will never be together and does not go out to Jane when she arrived at hard labor. The fate of their common son is also sad. Because of his love for Mozart's work, he endures a lot of suffering. But in the end, he proved by his act that Mozart is really a great composer.

In my opinion, the script of the film is very vital. The actors very accurately transfer every emotion, every feeling as in real life. You experience every tragic or funny moment together with them. When I watched it, of course there were tears, I told the characters on the TV screen not to do that, that there would be bad consequences. In general, I liked the movie.
