Antonio Rudiger's future at Real Madrid is hanging in the balance. Matteo Moretto provides an update.

Antonio Rudiger's contract with Real Madrid expires on June 30, and his departure is up in the air. In recent days, since returning from his injury, he has raised the level of the Madrid defense with his presence. However, there is no confirmation that he will continue for another season.

Journalist Matteo Moretto, who specializes in transfers, has pointed out doubts about Rudiger. They do not fully trust the physical aspect, and that will be decisive in making a decision. Although the first contacts between player and club have already taken place.

With Rudiger's renewal up in the air, Matteo Moretto wanted to update on his situation. The physical aspect is one of the things that worries Real Madrid the most about the German center back. But if there are guarantees with him, they could offer him a one-year extension.

"There are doubts about his knee and physical condition. I would say he is going to stay, but the parties are talking," the Italian journalist said. The problems he has had with injuries could be the key. If he puts them behind him and performs, he has earned the right to continue next season.

Although there is no signed renewal, Real Madrid is already making moves regarding Rudiger. Matteo Moretto has indicated that the Spanish club "is talking to his entourage." They want to know what his intentions are for the near future.

At Real Madrid, seeing the level Rudiger is showing, they are confident that he can continue. Especially because he is a defensive bulwark and has provided a lot of security to the team. Right now, only Militao can compete with the German for a spot in the starting lineup.

If there is no certainty about Rudiger's physical condition, or if he decides to leave, Real Madrid already has several alternatives. The first is Schlotterbeck, but Moretto notes that "Dortmund is pushing for him to renew." Something that would make his arrival almost impossible.

It seemed like a closed case, but the Italian journalist continues to insist that "Konate, from Liverpool, is another option; the Spanish club is talking to his entourage." Finally, Jacobo Ramon is also sneaking in since "they are delighted with his growth, with his development as a footballer." He considers his return secure for "this summer or, if not, next."
