Despite persistent rumors linking him with a possible return to the Santiago Bernabeu, Hakimi is comfortable and happy at Paris Saint-Germain. His agent, Alejandro Camano, has clarified that the right back’s immediate future remains firmly in Ligue 1, where he is under contract until June 2029. The Moroccan star has become a pillar of the Parisian team since he arrived in 2021.
In statements to Winwin, Camano said: “Achraf is very happy at PSG. He feels very good there and wants to win the Champions League for a second time, as well as take the team as far as possible.”
The Spanish newspaper Marca had previously suggested that a return to Real Madrid for the player, who came up through the club’s famous youth academy, could be on the table.
However, Camano was quick to deny any rumors about official contact or a possible transfer. When asked if there had been conversations about a return to the Spanish giant, he responded firmly: “No, that has never happened.”
The agent further reinforced Hakimi’s loyalty to his current team by highlighting his relationship with the coaching staff and squad in Paris. Camano added: “We still have three years left on our contract with the Parisian club and, for the moment, he is only thinking about PSG. He is very happy with his coach and his teammates, and he feels good in the country. For now, he is not considering leaving.”
Hakimi’s history at Real Madrid is well-documented, as he made his first-team debut in 2017 under Zinedine Zidane. During that initial spell, he played 17 matches and was part of the squads that won the FIFA Club World Cup and the Champions League. However, he struggled to secure a permanent starting spot, which led to a two-year loan at Borussia Dortmund that marked a turning point in his career.
His trajectory continued with a highly successful season at Inter, where he won the Serie A title under Antonio Conte following a transfer worth 43 million euros. Since his signing for PSG, he has consolidated his reputation as one of the best attacking full-backs in world football.
His desire to win the Champions League again, having tasted success with Madrid as a teenager, remains the main driving force behind his performance in France.
Following his recent contract extension through 2029, Hakimi remains a key figure in Luis Enrique’s tactical setup. The Moroccan international has thrived under the Spanish coach, enjoying the offensive freedom afforded by PSG’s current system. His chemistry with the club’s attacking line remains one of the French champions’ main offensive weapons.
Separately, Hakimi received good news last week when the Confederation of African Football announced that Morocco had been awarded the 2025 Africa Cup of Nations after stripping Senegal of the title.
