Recently they won 2-0 series against West Indies and 2-0 against South Africa. The last match of south Africa series was draw because of rain on day 3. Otherwise it could have been 3-0. Australia gets a good lead with 126 points 11 points a head from india.

They are also on top in the Icc 2021-23 test championship final qualifications ranking. They need only one draw to make their place in the final. They will play a four match test series against India from February 9.

It will be interesting to see the top two teams playing test. Both teams performance in past has been excellent aswell specially Australian batters.
