Divide et impera - is this the all time strategy of the left?

Corrupt Colorado Secretary of State Jena Griswold says that “extreme Republicans” are inciting violence.  “They incited January 6th. They led to the attack on Paul Pelosi, the kidnapping attempt of the Michigan governor, and now the shootings… It leads to attacks like this. It leads to bullets flying through little girls walls.”  She went on to claim that questioning our election system leads to political violence.  Divide and rule policy (Latin: divide et impera), or divide and conquer, in politics and sociology is gaining and maintaining power divisively. Historically, this strategy was used in many different ways by empires seeking to expand their territories. The maxim divide et impera has been attributed to Philip II of Macedon. It was utilised by the Roman ruler Julius Caesar and the French emperor Napoleon (together with the maxim divide ut regnes).Jan 23, 2023

WATCH: World Economic Forum Panelist Says the US Will ‘Soon’ Have ‘Illegal Hate Speech’ Laws

Hate speech laws, of course, would be a direct violation of the First Amendment of the Constitution.  Jourova made the claim on a panel on “the clear and present danger of disinformation” with former CNN Host Brian Stelter on Tuesday. “For hate speech, we need the people who understand the language and the case law in the country, because what qualifies as hate speech, illegal hate speech, which you will have soon also in the U.S., we have a strong reason why we have this in the criminal law,” Jourova said.Jan 18, 2023

Is Censorship now a tool for political purposes?

The censorship tools were created to deal with scams & spam, but then were turned to political purposes. Those who favor censorship should remember that it is only a matter of time before censorship turns on you. There will always be some censorship, but less is better.
